Privacy Policy
Last updated August 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ByteMind (“Feedif,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use https://feedif.io and related embeds. It covers the hosted product: feedback boards, roadmaps, changelogs, widgets, and accounts.
Paid checkout is run by Polar as merchant of record. Polar has its own Privacy Policy for payment data. Our Terms of Service describe the Service itself.

1. Who we are
Feedif is operated by ByteMind. We are the controller for account data, board content, and usage of the Feedif website, except where Polar is the controller for purchase and payment information.
If you embed Feedif on your own site, you decide what your visitors see. You are responsible for your own privacy notices to those visitors. We process widget and board requests to deliver the embed you configured.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile
When you sign in with Google or a magic-link email, we store your email address, name, and (if you use Google or upload one) profile photo. We also store your dashboard theme preference and workspace membership.
Board content
We store projects you create and content posted to them: feedback titles and descriptions, votes, comments, roadmap placement, changelog entries, categories, logos, cover images or videos, and related settings (colors, theme, widget options, branding). Public boards are visible to anyone with the URL.
Email subscriptions
If someone signs in and subscribes to a post, we store that subscription so we can send status-change or changelog emails (Indie features). Each of those emails includes an unsubscribe link.
Payments (Polar)
We do not store full card numbers. When you buy Indie, Polar is the merchant of record and processes name, email, billing address, payment method, tax information, and transaction records. We receive limited subscription status from Polar (for example, active or trialing, and customer or subscription identifiers) so we can unlock Indie features. See Polar’s Privacy Policy and Buyer Terms.
Technical and analytics data
We use session cookies required to keep you signed in (NextAuth). We use Plausible Analytics on feedif.io, which is a privacy-oriented analytics tool that does not use tracking cookies or collect personal profiles for ads. Servers and our database may log IP address, user agent, and similar request metadata to operate and secure the Service.
Optional leads
If you submit an email on a waitlist or lead form, we store that address to contact you about Feedif.
3. How we use information
We use this information to:
- provide, maintain, and improve Feedif;
- authenticate you and remember dashboard settings;
- publish the public boards, roadmaps, changelogs, and widgets you enable;
- send transactional email: sign-in links, and (when Indie is active and you use those features) feedback and changelog notifications;
- unlock paid features after Polar confirms a subscription;
- prevent abuse, debug issues, and comply with law;
- respond to support requests.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your board content to train third-party advertising profiles.
4. Who we share information with
We share data with processors who help us run Feedif:
- Polar — merchant of record for paid plans; payments, tax, invoices, and customer billing portal.
- Google — if you choose “Sign in with Google.”
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Neon (PostgreSQL) — database hosting.
- Cloudflare R2 — storage for logos, covers, and changelog media you upload.
- Plausible — aggregated, cookieless website analytics on the marketing site.
- Hosting / infrastructure providers used to serve the app.
Public board content is shared with anyone who visits that board or an embed. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service or people’s rights.
5. Cookies
Feedif uses essential cookies for authentication and session security. Plausible does not set tracking cookies. Third-party sign-in (Google) and Polar checkout may set their own cookies on their domains. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser; blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in.
6. Retention
We keep account and board data until you delete the relevant project or account, or until we close an account for Terms violations. Backups may persist for a limited time. Polar retains payment records as required for tax and accounting. Analytics data is kept in aggregate form according to Plausible’s settings.
7. Your choices
- Update name, photo, and theme in Account Settings.
- Unsubscribe from post notification emails via the link in each email.
- Delete a project or your entire account in settings.
- Manage or cancel Indie in the Polar billing portal from Account Settings → Billing.
- Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing rudolfs@feedif.io.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, you may also have rights to restrict or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For payment data held by Polar, contact Polar or us and we will point the request to the right party.
8. International transfers
We and our processors may process data in the EU and other countries (for example, where Cloudflare, Google, or hosting providers operate). Polar processes buyer data as described in its privacy policy, including from Estonia.
9. Children
Feedif is built for product teams and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, access controls, hashed session secrets) to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the product or the law changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we may also email you.
